Knights of the Triangle demo - VFX update!

Knights of the Triangle: Now with visual effects!

We are ridiculously excited to announce our first update to the Knights of the Triangle demo - players can now look forward to:

  • Getting up close to the action thanks to a new DYNAMIC CAMERA which zooms in when the battle heats up.
  • Being able to see which bit of the triangle is the weapon (i.e. invlunerable to hits, can hit opponents) and which bit isn't (i.e. vulnerable to hits, cannot hit opponents) - it's the slightly brighter bit at the front of the triangle. No more guessing where the hitbox is \:D/
  • Experiencing unprecedented visual feedback when landing a successful attack thanks to some all new hit particles!
  • Doing a victory dance, pushing around their opponent or otherwise taunting after winning a point because triangles are now DEACTIVATED when they take a hit - that's right, no longer does each point end with both triangles being frozen in time! The losing triangle is deactivated but still subject to the in-game laws of physics, so if you didn't already have an incentive to win the point NOW YOU DO!
  • No longer seeing menu options for game modes which aren't implemented yet. That's right - "career mode" and "battle royale" have been removed for now, since we don't have capacity to add them any time soon. When we finally make this into a full game you can bet these modes will be back though.
  • Enjoying a subtle glowing trail left by each triangle as it manoeuvres through the arena.
  • Configuring gameplay settings in a dedicated menu! If you want to change the camera from dynamic to static (for the old school KOTT Demo Version 1 feeling), enable screen wrapping or change visual effects from "subtle" to "ludicrous" then this menu is your friend.

This is probably all the changes - there might be some other minor things we've forgotten about but this list is the good stuff. Look out for a more detailed update and perhaps a KOTT strategy guide COMING SOON (or not, no promises).

Also maybe a downloadable version for when you're offline but really need your triangle fix.
